How can I avoid hating my Father-in-law?
I love my MIL & we get along well. But my FIL is very obnoxious. He will never say anything good. He is a big failure in his life & still likes to show off. He is so dirty, does not even flush many times. He will never appreciate anything. He is very much money minded. All he was concerned during my marraige was GOLD GOLD & GOLD. Now also he asks questions about my dad's property. He is everything which I hate principally in life- show off, mean, money-minded & many more things. Even my MIL struggles to get along with him. He is so self centered & insecured that he was not allowing my MIL to go in the hospital for my sister-in-law's delivery!! Can u beat that???? His own daughter! I hate that him so much. I cant stand his sight!!!! My problem is my husband agrees with his flaws but does not believe that he is too much. He is like we have to ignore. But how do you ignore such obnoxious creature?
Listen to nothing he has to say and spend as little time with him as possible

I am an avid reader of The Huffington Post. The lead story the last 2 days has been a call for Americans to move their money away from the "too-big-to-fail" banks and into small community banking institutions. It's a call to support and champion Main Street banks versus Wall Street banks. It's a very remarkable and powerful idea.
Arianna Huffington, the co-founder and editor-in-chief of her namesake, is the leader of this movement (moveyourmoney.info). She is dismayed and disgruntled, to put it mildly, by what has happened to our economy and our Country. I couldn't agree more. You and I have bailed out and propped up the culprits of this global financial disaster, all backed up by government guarantees. The result? These greedy bastions (or is that bastards) of unbridled wealth have had a year of record profits doing what they do best: engaging in the same highly-leveraged smoke-and-mirrors investing that brought us all to the brink of outright economic collapse in the first place, while so many everyday Americans continue to be plunged over the edge in record numbers. Families, jobs, homes and The American Way of Life are in dire peril.
We have all been financially sodomized by "The Big 4": JP Morgan-Chase, Citibank, Bank of America, and Wells Fargo. And while these banks are enjoying their continuing windfall profits at our expense, they have drastically cut back lending to businesses and individuals. What a sucker punch to the guts of all American taxpayers.
All the while, the Main Street community banks around the nation who were not involved in the chicanery that continues to make the Wall Street banks rich beyond all reason, are struggling to survive. The concentration of power at the top of the banking food chain is more concentrated than ever, thus making it extremely difficult for community banks to eek out an existence. The deck is not only institutionally and governmentally stacked against them, it's nowhere in sight.
So what can you and I do? Bailout money is being used by The Big 4 (and others) to pay for heavy-duty lobbying efforts to kill off any type of meaningful regulatory reform. Ms. Huffington says it best: "Why don't we take our money out of these big banks and put them into community banks? And what, we asked ourselves, would happen if lots of people around America decided to do the same thing? Our money has been used to make the system worse -- what if we used it to make the system better?" She and her cohorts have based their movement on Frank Capra's It's a Wonderful Life theme.
Their website (mentioned above) even has an analytic tool so that you can search for solvent community banks in your area. Brilliant. "The idea is simple: If enough people who have money in one of the big four banks move it into smaller, more local, more traditional community banks, then collectively we, the people, will have taken a big step toward re-rigging the financial system so it becomes again the productive, stable engine for growth it's meant to be. It's neither Left nor Right -- it's populism at its best." And, there is no risk to move your money. The same FDIC deposit insurance is just as good at your local community bank as it is at "the reckless behemoths."
If the Move Your Money movement succeeds, and there is a very real chance for that to happen, think of the message it will send to Wall Street and the White House. It's a way for you and I to have a huge impact on the culture of corruption by taking matters into our own hands. Oh, I love that! Pass it on.
